The pediatric and adolescent gynecology division is investigating long term outcomes for women who were born with uterine and vaginal agenesis (MRKH). While there are many options to create a neo-vagina both surgically and with dilator treatment, we hope to identify and determine factors that enhance patient acceptance, satisfaction and build self-esteem.

We are also following young patients with primary ovarian insufficiency to determine if long term outcomes for patient well-being, fertility options, and satisfaction can be enhanced.

The Division of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology also collaborates with the multidisciplinary Disorders of Sex Development (DSD) team at St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
