A two-day virtual conversation on disability, the media, and what’s next. Each day people will gather in small virtual groups to discuss the following topics:
-Media Accessibility
-Disability in 2020: COVID-19, Black Lives Matter, and more
-Media Representation: Current Trends
-Media Representation: The Future
Over the two days, participants will join a randomized group of no more than 10 people and discuss each topic. The sessions will be lead by a facilitator with guiding questions. Both the main session and each break-out group will have ASL and CART provided.
After the event, main takeaways will be compiled, sent out to participants, and published online. Our goal is to connect with our fellow disabled media makers and move the work on accessible media and disability representation forward.
