Dr. Fithi Andom (she/ her) is a licensed clinical social worker whose research areas of interest include intergenerational trauma, early childhood development, and maltreatment prevention. She is dedicated to improving the behavioral, health, and educational outcomes for children in low-resource settings by articulating the social determinants of early trauma exposure and by developing culturally responsive integrated mental health interventions that actively support parent-child attachment and resolve parental trauma. Fithi has over eight years of experience as a mental health professional and has worked in behavioral health settings, rural contexts, and schools with child and adolescent populations in the U.S. and Sub-Saharan Africa.
