Camelia Harb is a doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology program at the University of Missouri—St. Louis. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Psychology from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon. She is a trainee in multiple community based mental health clinics and serves as an instructor of record for undergraduate study. Her research interests focus on the use of patient centered and community based participatory practices to further the understanding and reduction of mental health disparities amongst underserved populations. Ultimately, she seeks to forward the field’s increasing cultural adaptation and diversification to ensure academics and practitioners are equipped with the knowledge and awareness required to appropriately promote mental health on individual, community, and global levels.
