Detailed description:
The Arctic is warming about three times faster than the global average in recent decades, a phenomenon known as Arctic amplification. Warm air intrusions, namely the poleward transport of warm and moist air from mid-latitudes, contribute to the Arctic amplification. Lei’s research primarily focuses on investigating the influence of warm air intrusions on the Arctic, with a particular focus on their effects on aerosol concentrations, temperature, humidity, cloud properties, and related factors.
