Gegenwartsliteratur accepts scholarly articles in German or in English about contemporary literature, i.e. literature that has appeared during the past three decades, in the German-speaking countries. Each volume will contain a contribution by a leading writer or critic.

The articles and essays in the yearbook (written by scholars with a PhD or Dr phil in German Studies) will focus on contemporary literature in its cultural context. Interdisciplinary studies connecting literature with the various fields of the sciences, the humanities, and the social sciences, as well as articles considering aspects of gender studies, inter- and multicultural, postmodernism, postcolonialism, and globalization are welcome.

All submissions should be sent as email attachments in Word format. Please submit articles to Paul Michael Lützeler (jahrbuch@wustl.edu).
