Shamika is originally from Mumbai, India. She is majoring in Chemistry with a concentration in Biochemistry, and minoring in Computer Science and Mathematics. She is currently an editor for Frontiers, WashU’s healthcare magazine, and a volunteer for Out of the Blue. During high school, she worked at OncoStem Diagnostics, a company that conducts cancer research. In her free time, she enjoys playing soccer, cooking, and hanging out with friends. After graduating in May 2023, Shamika now works as a researcher in the Gu Lab at Harvard Medical School.
