Chris Camitta is a graduate student who started in the lab in 2024. He is from Durham, North Carolina and graduated from Duke University in 2020 with a B.S. in biology and a minor in music. After graduating, he did a research postbac with Robin Stanley at NIH/NIEHS, where he studied the structure and function of the ribosome assembly AAA+ ATPase Rix7/NVL2. Outside of lab, he enjoys finding parks in St. Louis to hike around, playing his keyboard when his ears permit, and finding new recipes to attempt to cook.
