Anirban Das

Anirban is a postdoctoral fellow in the lab and he works jointly in the Jackrel and Rudra Labs. He is originally from “The City of Joy”: Kolkata, West Bengal, India. He completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata, and his Master’s Degree in Chemical Science from Central University of Pondicherry. He then joined Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Bhopal (IISER Bhopal) for his Ph. D. in Bhopal, India where he worked in Dr. Ishu Saraogi’s lab. In his Ph.D., he worked on developing small molecule-based inhibitors and sensors for insulin aggregation. He is the recipient of the Best Thesis Award (Gold Medal) in 2022 from the Department of Chemistry, IISER Bhopal. When not in the lab, he enjoys cooking, traveling, and watching movies.
