I work in the X-ray optics lab testing mirror actuators for future X-ray missions. My research focuses on measuring and characterizing the deformations that our polymer-based actuators induce on blank mirror substrates. For that, I use a laser and a Shack Hartmann Wavefront Sensor.
I am originally from Southern California, where I live with my family, tortoise, and dog. In my free time, I enjoy reading science fiction books and going on walks around Forest Park. I also love to ice skate whenever I have the opportunity.
