Daniela Tuda is a first-year Ph.D. student in Social Work and a T32 Pre-Doctoral Fellow. She was born and raised in Miami, Florida but has called NYC her home for the past decade. She earned her BA in Psychology with a concentration in Child and Adolescent Mental health Studies from New York University in 2014 and her MSW from Columbia University in 2017. Daniela received her LCSW and has worked in community mental health utilizing various evidence-based therapeutic practices and interventions. In addition, she has research experience working as an RA for various projects that aim to address the health disparities of racial and ethnic minorities living with serious mental illness. Daniela aspires to obtain a Ph.D. in Social Work in order to pursue research interests related to community mental health and the adaptation of evidence-based practices for marginalized communities.
