Continue connecting with your faith during your journey in medical school, and connect with others.

Catholic Student Center

William C., M2

The Catholic Student Center (CSC) is located on the Danforth Campus (just across the park form the Medical Campus), and I usually go to the 4:30 p.m. student mass with dinner afterwards. They have retreats (highly recommend the Awakening retreat held every fall), monthly grad student/young adult happy hours, and many other opportunities to grow in faith and community. It’s also a great spot to study and is open 24/7 with free coffee!

Christian Medical Association

Daniel D., M2

The Christian Medical Association (CMA) has been a very welcoming community where I’ve been able to discuss various aspects of faith with other healthcare students and faculty. In addition to medical students, residents, and attendings, our weekly meetings also feature people from other healthcare professions such as the nearby occupational therapy, physical therapy, and nursing schools. Furthermore, some students from CMA attend events together held by The Carver Project and join several Bible studies and book clubs launched within the community. I would definitely recommend coming to CMA to explore how faith and medicine intersect — whether you consider yourself Christian or are just questioning/curious about faith.

Medical Muslim Student Association

Syeda J., M1

The Medical Muslim Students Association (MMSA) is a space for Muslim students across all programs in WashU Med. We host events including but not limited to ice cream mixers, Suhoor, Iftar, and Eid parties. We aim to work closely with the school to support students during the month of Ramadan. Join MMSA to find out how you can connect with fellow Muslims at WashU Med and beyond!

We have a group for almost any interest!

Student-led groups range from from arts and athletics, to government and policy, and service and support. If you have a passion that doesn’t have a group, the school’s faculty, leadership and alumni are very supportive of us creating new groups to organize our efforts.
