Like most other Central West End apartments, Del Coronado (“Delco”) is an apartment complex near the corner of West Pine and Euclid, just a 10-minute walk away from the WashU Medicine Medical Campus. Delco has two types of apartment styles: “classic” (aka unrenovated) and renovated. I live in a single “classic” apartment, which is a decent deal for the price and square footage. Adding in rent, parking, and utilities, my monthly costs come out to around $1450, which isn’t bad for a single apartment in the Central West End. There’s a gym room with all the essentials, a coffee machine in the lobby, garage parking, and (compared to the apartments that face Kingshighway) it’s pretty quiet. Laundry is communal, but with units on every even-numbered floor, there’s no shortage of machines (and there are 13 floors). Maintenance is usually very prompt, which is helpful given that — being in a “classic” apartment — some of my appliances are on the older side. All in all, Delco’s a solid apartment.
