Selection Criteria
We will have a panel of our very own WashU staff judging the contest. Entries will be voted on based on the categories in which they submit and overall aesthetic, creativity, and uniqueness.
Category Descriptions
Simply Minimal
- Minimal decor style is in! Did you take a less is more approach to decorating your room?! Sometimes all it takes is a plant there and a picture there and a room can make a statement.
Color Explosion
- Do you love color?! We want to see your expression of color in your room. It can be Monochromatic, Citrusy Shade, Nautica Blue, Golden Hour, Yellow Mellow and more.
Back to the Future
- Maybe lights are your thing? Show us how you decorated your space with LED lights or a if your room has a back to the future vibe.
Functional Decor
- Having decor that can achieve multiple things is trending right now. Did you decorate your room to achieve function for the way you live? Maybe you incorporated some sustainable elements even!
Sleeping in Style
- This is for those rooms that adopted a specific style. Boho Chic, Modern Industrial, Country Charm, Gamer Style, Movie Posters Galore and more!
Overall Winner
- We are going to choose one overall winner for this years contest from the submissions. Feel your room tackles a little bit everything? Doesn’t hurt to find out!
Prizes
- Should an individual or group win, each will receive a WashU Backpack Bundle: Includes WashU Backpack and Spirit Gear
