If you are interested in dark matter or exoplanet research, don’t hesitate to get in touch with Dr. Tansu Daylan to learn about open positions in our group.
The Department of Physics at Washington University in St. Louis harbors vibrant research groups focused on leading various investigations in astrophysics as well as other areas of physics. Building on the strong research legacy of our department, our group seeks to address outstanding questions in dark matter and exoplanets and looks forward to welcoming new members.
When a postdoc position is open in our group, it will be announced widely on relevant platforms across the research community, including the AAS Job Register. Additionally, you may join our group as a postdoc through two prize postdoctoral fellowships: the Jaynes Fellowship offered by the Department of Physics and the Postdoctoral Fellowship provided by the McDonnell Center for the Space Sciences (MCSS).
If you are interested in joining our group as a graduate student, you need to apply to our graduate program in physics by the deadline. Our graduate admission process starts in December and concludes in April.
If you are a current WashU undergraduate, you can join our group either for academic credit as an independent study or through a summer fellowship offered by the MCSS. The Office of Undergraduate Research has additional resources relevant to building research experience as an undergraduate. Please also refer to our departmental resources on undergraduate research opportunities.
Our group uses the mailing list astromusers@lists.physics.wustl.edu for internal communication. In addition, we manage a WashU-wide exoplanet mailing list, exoplanets@lists.physics.wustl.edu. If you’d like to join either mailing list as a prospective team member, don’t hesitate to contact Dr. Tansu Daylan.
