Who We Are

The Washington University chapter of the American Association of University Professors supports the rights of all instructional, clinical, and research faculty at Washington University, particularly in the areas of  academic freedom, shared governance, and job security. We are faculty like you who are concerned with the processes that ensure fair treatment of faculty members, and with making our university a good place to work as we contribute to the common good.

If you think you have a problem or case in which the AAUP could help, or if you just want to talk confidentially to colleagues about your situation, contact us by writing to the chapter’s Executive Board.

This link will send mail to a WU address. After initial contact, we can provide you with a non-WU address for further confidential communication with us.

Like a union but without the dues, we can advise or help you even if you are not a member of the national AAUP.
