Join us as we organize our chapter
Faculty and graduate students at Washington University invite you to join them in the newly official Washington University in St. Louis Chapter of the American Associaton of University Professors (AAUP), voted into existence at a meeting on Thursday 10 April 2025.
We encourage you to join us by adding your contact information here. Please also consider joining the national organization, by visiting https://www.aaup.org/membership.
All Washington University faculty of all ranks and tracks, as well as all graduate students and postdoctoral fellows, are eligible to join.
Who We Are
The American Association of University Professors supports the rights of all instructional, clinical, and research faculty at Washington University, particularly in the areas of academic freedom, shared governance, and job security. We are faculty like you who are concerned with the processes that ensure fair treatment of faculty members, and with making our university a good place to work as we contribute to the common good.
If you think you have a problem or case in which the AAUP could help, or if you just want to talk confidentially to colleagues about your situation, contact us by writing to the chapter’s Executive Board.
This link will send mail to wustl_aaup@proton.me. In your initial contact, you may indicate whether you want to continue communicating via non-WUSTL channels.
We can advise or help you even if you are not a member of the national AAUP.
