Dissertation: “Neighborhood Environment, Social Participation, and Well-Being among Older Adults in the U.S.” (Successfully defended on April 8, 2019)

Her committee chair is Dr. Nancy Morrow-Howell, and her other committee members include Dr. Shenyang Guo, Dr. Susan Stark, Dr. Sojung Park, and Dr. Rodrigo S. Reis. Her dissertation is supported by the 2017-2018 Social Work HEALS Doctoral Fellowship.

Yi is currently leading a community-engaged project in Ferguson, MO, in collaboration with St. Louis County County’s Age-Friendly Community Initiative, County Older Resident Programs, and Senior Citizen Commission in Ferguson.
