The He Lab Receives JIT Funds from ICST!
We thank the Just-In-Time (JIT) Core Usage Funding Program for supporting an one-year core funds (since Aug 2024) to the He Lab!
The JIT program is supported by the Washington University Institute of Clinical and Translational Sciences (ICST), Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology, Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis Children’s Hospital, the Hope Center for Neurological Disorders, and Siteman Cancer Center.
AACR Research Funding Impact: Grantee Impact
Xue-Yan was awarded the AACR-AstraZeneca Breast Cancer Research Fellowship in 2021. During her postdoctoral fellowship, she uncovered how neutrophils create a pro-metastatic environment in response to chronic stress. The results of this study highlight the potential of stress reduction as a strategy for cancer patients to improve treatment outcome (May, 2024).
