Veterans Day 2017

Student Veterans from Olin, Law and Brown School meet with Senator Duckworth, Honorable Bob McDonald and panelists backstage.

Veterans Day 2017 was spectacular! With over 300 guests in attendance, student veterans from across campus, community members, faculty and staff, we all enjoyed Senator Tammy Duckworth, former Secretary of the VA the Honorable Bob McDonald and a panel of local veterans. Each speaker brought their personal and professional stories of serving after service. Our panel included Professor John Inazu of the Law School, Brown School alum Tim Smith and CEO of Veterans Business Resource Center, Darcella Craven. The night was not long enough! Our “Got Your Back” awards were presented to Liberman Graduate Center Dean Ashley Macrander and Kim McCabe for their tireless support in helping us make this event, and this school year amazing for veterans campus wide! A special thanks to our community supporters: Prism Medical, Missouri Veteran Endeavor, Wounded Warrior Project, Thomas Moore, Nathan Laupp, Fitz Root Beer, Urban Chestnut, Schlafly Beer, Jilly’s Cupcakes,Ted Ginaris & Simmons Law Firm. We couldn’t do this without you!
