COVID-19 Information

The Young Scientist Program is taking significant measures to protect our students & volunteers from COVID-19.

All Teaching Team events are virtual/remote until further notice. Teaching Teams are not available for in-person events, such as classroom visits or campus field trips.

A virtual campus/lab tour may be possible. Please contact our Director of Teaching Teams to inquire.

Visit WashU Together for more information on WashU’s COVID-19 response.

Thank you very much for your interest in having our volunteers host your students for a field trip to one of our campuses!

We offer on-campus demonstrations from our Teaching Teams as well as tours of Washington University’s world-renowned research facilities, such as the Zebrafish Facility, Center for Cellular Imaging, Grossman Mineral Museum, and the McDonnell Genome Institute.

Please complete the form below to design your field trip to WashU for your K-12 group.

NOTE: Since all of our volunteers are graduate students, post-doctoral associates, laboratory scientists, and principal investigators, we may not be able to process your request immediately.  Please allow at least 2 weeks for a reply from our Director of Teaching Teams.
