Julia Bals (She/her/hers)

Julia is a first year Ph.D. student in the immunology program interested in adaptive immune responses and/or immune involvement in neurodegenerative disease. she is super excited to work with this year’s WiSTEM team and the wider WashU community as a part of the networking and social committees.


Hannah Pletcher (She/her/hers)

Hannah is a second year student in the BBSB program. She works in the lab of Dr. Natalie Niemi, studying how mitochondrial phosphorylation affects metabolism. She is passionate about supporting women in STEM, providing professional development opportunities, and interacting with the community.
