The Public Service Advisory Board (PSAB) is a strong, active student group focused on creating opportunities to do public service within the law school and the larger St. Louis community. All PSAB members have the opportunity to join one of four committees, each with its own mission. These committees are the Careers Committee, Public Service Committee, Pro Bono Committee, and the Social Committee.

The Careers Committee serves as a bridge between the Center for Career Development (CCD) and students interested in public interest work. They also partner with local attorneys and organizations to inform students of opportunities in public interest law. The Public Service Committee organizes service projects to foster student involvement with the community and encourage a greater understanding of the social issues facing St. Louis. Pro Bono work is an important part of a lawyer’s career, and the Pro Bono Committee is dedicated to helping students develop this practice during law school. Members of the Pro Bono Committee are responsible for facilitating legal pro bono opportunities for students. This committee also administers the Pro Bono Pledge Program. Lastly, the Social Committee’s role is to help ease law school anxiety by arranging fun, relaxing social events where students can discuss things other than contracts and cold calls.
