Record Editor, Senior News Writer

I have loved crafting stories since I was a child, and knew by 12 years old that I wanted a career focused on words, writing and storytelling. Lucky for me, there’s no shortage of great stories to share about the amazing research, incredible people and intriguing events at Washington University.

As the editor for the Record, the university’s online campus newspaper, I strive to keep our community informed about what’s going on around campus, whether it’s scientists or sculptors at work or staff stepping up to lend a hand.

Before joining the Public Affairs team at the start of 2013, I worked as a journalist, at times covering law and courts, state government and politics, and breaking news, mostly as a reporter for The Associated Press. A favorite part of my college experience at the University of Missouri was a summer spent in New York City as an intern for The Wall Street Journal. A least favorite part was shuttling a tarantula in my car for another job teaching kids about animals.

Today, outside of work, my husband and I are active in our church, Assumption Parish, and stay busy ferrying our two school-age kids to soccer games and scout meetings.
