Welcome to Group 14’s BME 401 Senior Design Project!
Our goal is to create a vascular phantom of the carotid artery and cephalic vein to simulate the delivery of nanoparticle infusions from various types of catheters. Our client, UN&UP, will utilize a vascular phantom for nanoparticle testing in conjunction with other related projects to develop a novel method of thrombolysis. Together they will aid in reducing the possibility of adverse reactions when lysing occlusive clots resulting in better treatment for patients with an acute ischemic stroke (AIS) event.
