Spatial restriction of RME-2 accumulation by GLD-1 mediated translational repression allows yolk up-take only in large oocytes

Gonad Arms dissected from wild-type adult hermaphrodite are stained with DAPI to visualize DNA (upper panel as blue), anti-GLD-1 (lower panel as green), anti-RME-2 (lower panel as red), and anti-yolk Ab (lower panel as blue). GLD-1 and RME-2 accumulation is mutually exclusive and yolk is accumulated only in the 3-4 most proximal oocytes.
