
Projects in his group currently include applications of systems theory to study neuronal networks in cognition, algorithm development for spatiotemporal control of large neuronal networks, work to design treatments in disorders of consciousness, and studies to analyze EEG dynamics for disambiguating coma etiologies. Dr. Ching collaborates with Jr-Shin Li and faculty in Neuroscience in this work. Students in his group learn to apply control theory and dynamical systems to elucidate brain network dynamics, mechanisms of neuroactive drugs and closed-loop methods for drug delivery and clinical management of pathological physiologic states.
