What to do if I get locked out of my summer housing assignment or lose my key?

The Summer Programs and Conferences office – located at 6618 Shepley Drive – can replace your key card or provide entry to your room between the hours of 9 a.m. until Midnight, Monday through Friday, and from 12 p.m. to Midnight, on Saturdays and Sundays. Our office number is 314-935-5015. If you lose your key or get locked out outside of our business hours, please call WUPD at 314-935-5555. They will call our on call staff to assist you. There is a $25 fee per lockout/lost card.

You can send your mail and packages to your apartment’s address, for example:

Each apartment has one mailbox located in the lobby of that building where mail will be delivered each day. A code will be given to you upon check in.  Packages that are too large for the mailbox will be delivered to the Lofts Office at 6300 Enright Ave. You may retrieve your package during business hours after receiving an email and/or text notification from the Loft office that your package is ready for pick up.  You must forward your mail at the end of the summer. Where can I purchase a parking permit?

If you are an intern, researcher, or summer school student, you can purchase a parking permit from the Parking and Transportation Services office, which is located on North Campus at 700 Rosedale Avenue, St. Louis, Mo., 63112 or call 314-935-5601. If you are a summer conference guest, please contact your conference coordinator to arrange for a parking pass. 

How does the Metro Link work?

The St. Louis Metrolink, our light rail commuter train system, has two stops on the Danforth Campus. The Skinker station is located at the northeast corner of Skinker Blvd. and Forest Park Parkway, near One Brookings Drive. The University City-Big Bend station is another option, which is located at the northwest corner of Big Bend Blvd. and Forest Park Parkway near the Village. The primary stop for the Medical Center is the Central West End station.

How much does it cost to do my laundry?

For the summer of 2022, laundry will be free in residential buildings. 

How do I report a problem with the laundry machines?

Where can I purchase Bear Bucks?

Bear Bucks can be purchased at Campus Card Services in the Women’s Building on the Danforth Campus. Learn more.

Where can I purchase necessities such as toiletries, medicine, etc.?

Items can be purchased at Bear Necessities located in Umrath House on the S40, and at the Danforth Campus Store located in the ground floor of Mallinckrodt Center.

The bookstore will be open Monday-Friday from 10AM until 2PM. 

Where can I work out?

Sumers Recreation Center

Summer program participants who are at least 18 years of age are eligible to purchase a day pass for $10 per day. If participants plan to use the facility for more than three (3) visits, they have the option to purchase a $25 membership that will last the full length of their conference, not to exceed 30 days. Program participants will need to show their driver’s license and University-issued conference ID to purchase a pass. After
proof of ID and payment, facility access will be added to the participants’
University-issued conference ID. High School students enrolled in courses at the
University just for the summer and who are under the age of 18, will not have the
option to purchase a membership for the Sumers Recreation Center. The Sumers
Recreation Center does not accept cash/check.

Is there an ATM on campus?

Bank of America has three ATM locations on campus. One is located on the first floor, east end, of Mallinckrodt Center, another is located by the tennis courts and Seigle Hall, and there is an ATM on the S40 in the Gregg Hall storefront.
