An accomplished speaker, leader, and educator, Kevin Kruger has been associate executive director of NASPA since 1995, and became its first executive-level president March 15, 2012. In his capacity as a national advocate for students and the primary spokesperson for student affairs administrators and practitioners, he draws on more than 30 years of experience in higher education.

Vice President of the Division for Diversity and Innovative Community Engagement, Saint Louis University

Rochelle D. Smith, M.S., (she/her) is the second vice president of DICE. She is an accomplished diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) practitioner and senior-level administrator in higher education, with more than 24 years of experience. Smith earned her Master of Science degree in health behavior research from Washington University School of Medicine, a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Chicago State University, and certification in executive leadership from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Assistant Dean, College of Arts & Sciences and Senior Lecturer in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies

Trevor is co-appointed as an Assistant Dean in the College of Arts and Sciences and a Lecturer in the Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Department with an affiliation in the Global Studies Program. Trevor really enjoys wearing both hats (really, all hats) and is particularly interested in helping to develop first-year curriculum. After earning a PhD from the History of Consciousness Department at the University of California, Santa Cruz, Trevor has worked on US social movements with a specialty in race, class, gender, and sexuality and currently serves on the campus-wide LGBT Advisory Board.

Manager, Residential Life Conduct and Interim Assistant Director, Student Conduct and Community Standards

Ally currently serves as the Manager of Residential Life Conduct here at Wash U. She’s finishing her 7th year here working on campus in the Office of Residential Life. Ally has a passion for building relationships with students and the restorative justice process. She believes that by emphasizing accountability through relationship building, we are able to not only repair harm that was caused-but also provide an experience in which students learn more about themselves and develop skills for long term success. When she’s not working, she loves spending time with her dog Walter and her pet bunny Gus!

Health Promotion Specialist

Jodi’s main focus on health promotion will be on mental health. She’s available to present, facilitate workshops and promote Habif resources. Jodi is also promoting suicide prevention training and is available to facilitate in-person training. Jodi earned her Doctoral Degree in Health Promotion from the University of Kentucky in 2012 with a research specialty in food security and nutrition. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Counseling from the University of Massachusetts.

Vanessa Walby

Head Coach, Women’s Volleyball, Division of Student Affairs

Vanessa Walby enters her 10th season as the head coach of WashU’s volleyball program in 2023. Walby was hired as the sixth head coach in the 40-year history of the program Dec. 23, 2013.

WashU volleyball’s tradition of excellence has continued under the guidance of Walby as the team captured the University Athletic Association (UAA) conference championship in 2015 and 2017 while also advancing to the NCAA Division III National Championship match in 2016. She was rewarded with her fourth overall and second UAA Coach of the Year award with WashU in 2017. Under the tutelage of Walby, the Bears advanced to the NCAA Regional Championship match in three consecutive seasons (2014-2016).

Associate Vice Chancellor, Dean of Students and Chief of Staff, Division of Student Affairs

Rob is the associate vice chancellor for Student Affairs, dean of students and chief of staff. In this role, he oversees the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards , Campus Life and the Office of Scholar Programs. He works closely with the vice chancellor for students and the leadership team on several key priorities including our development efforts, facilities, strategic planning, communications, and crisis management.  Rob serves on numerous university-wide committees, and initiatives, including the Community of Concern Team, the International Travel Oversight Committee, and the Student Entrepreneurial Program.

Manager, HR Operations, Division of Student Affairs

Ivory Woodhouse, PhD currently serves as the Manager of HR Operations in the Division of Student Affairs. Ivory manages the human resources operations of the division by providing expert guidance on policies, processes, and payroll.
