Focus Areas

 

1. Urban education and community development: 

RespAct work with primary schools in Berlin to develop methods to improve school cohesion and neighborhood engagement of children with forced migration backgrounds (refugees).

BoxGirls: Box Girls mission is to build safe communities by strengthening girls and women in disadvantaged communities through education, leadership development, and violence prevention. Boxgirls is a part of global best practice initiative.

2. Sports for development: 

Together with the German Corporation for International Cooperation, we are working with the Afghan Ministry of Education to develop sport and health curricula for Afghan schools. Our work on teacher training builds on our previous work creating a child center physical activity video curriculum. This DVD was distributed to the Afghan Ministry of Education in 2016 to more than 2000 schools, allowing them to improve their pedagogy, despite difficult security situation

3. Social impact investment:

With the Gateway Center for Giving and the Federal Resource Bank, we are developing case studies for St. Louis-based social enterprises. 

4. Incubation strategies for social enterprises:

The social enterprise impact accelerator works with local entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs to create revenue generating nonprofits and impactful for profits in St. Louis and beyond.

5. Innovation Workshops:

We provide services to organizations that want to get the best ideas out of their employees. Fun participatory formats from 10-100 people use design thinking and other tools from the innovation toolbox to improve your organization’s processes and products.
