The winners of the 2017 Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition are:
Co-founded by Michael Woods and Neal Richardson, Dream Builders 4 Equity provides at-risk youth access to a diverse and broad set of assets through mentorship, entrepreneurship scholarship, and leadership training. Access to these assets train youth in the necessary skills to succeed academically and professionally, as well as to attain ownership in the development of low-income/highly distressed communities.
Hope Creates empowers young adults in recovery through the engagement of expressive arts and the development of related entrepreneurial skills. Through mentoring programs, arts and business skills workshops, as well as public exhibitions and performances, Hope Creates seeks to transform the cultural dialogue around addiction.
Peace Education Action Compassion & Empowerment (P.E.A.C.E.) Weaving Wholeness is a nonprofit that seeks to support and conduct non-partisan research, education, and informational activities to increase public awareness of issues faced by women, to provide social support and development of networks, and to support the sustainable physical, mental, spiritual, and economic wellbeing of women in the community.
