6th International Meeting on Bone Marrow Adiposity

“Building basic, translational, and clinical partnerships”

Ever wondered what to make of your marrow adipose tissue phenotypes? Why the cells are there?  Where they come from?  What they do? Join us for a 1.5-day interdisciplinary meeting of adiposity, metabolism, and bone biology hosted at the Seattle Art Museum. This is an ideal meeting for those NEW to the study of bone marrow adipocytes. Meet experts in the field from around the world and come away with a novel understanding of these unique cells + learn new methods about how to study them.

Highlights include travel awards, trainee events, networking receptions, high-quality speakers, and oral presentation opportunities.

BMA2020: September 9th-10th, 2020    Seattle Art Museum, Seattle, Washington, USA

ASBMR: September 11th-14th, 2020     Washington State Convention Center, Seattle, Washington, USA

Co-sponsored by ASBMR and in affiliation with the ASBMR 2020 Annual Meeting

General Information: The 6th International meeting on bone marrow adiposity will be held in Seattle, Washington on September 9th and 10th, 2020. This is in association with and immediately preceding the 2020 American Society of Bone and Mineral Research (ASBMR) meeting, which is also in Seattle. This will be continuation of previous successful years of symposia with interdisciplinary attendence including scientists and physicians from backgrounds spanning bone metabolism, cancer, obesity and diabetes, rheumatology, radiology, odontology, orthopedy, hematology, and oncology. This cross-sectional approach, small meeting size, and active promotion of trainees facilities our ability to share ideas and advance research into international collaborations, while improving our understanding of the patho/physiological role of adipocytes in the bone marrow.
