We did not encounter very main tradeoffs in the performance of our model. One tradeoff was the generalization we made that all roller coasters in our model have an efficiency rate of 80%. Some of the coasters are newer than others, and others are far more complex resulting in clear variances in operational efficiencies. For example, while Kumba is the oldest ride in our model at 23 years old. However, the ride, while thrilling, uses a simple chain lift and is not prone to major down time. Cheetah Hunt, however, uses complex Linear Synchronous Motors to accelerate the coaster and this newer style of ride is not nearly as consistent or reliable. So if we were given unique efficiency values for each attraction it may result in differences in our model.
