COVID-19 has limited the opportunity for many students and scientists to do in-person captive and wild animal observational research. However, animal behavioral research is still possible thanks to live webcams at zoos and animal enclosures across the globe. Whether you are interested in African lions at the Werribee Open Range Zoo in Australia or western lowland gorillas at the Houston Zoo in Texas, there are live webcam feeds to assist you in behavioral research and animal education. To access a complete list of animal webcams, please use this Excel Sheet courtesy of WashU Department of Anthropology’s Jen Everhart.
