I am a Ph.D. student in the Energy, Environmental and Chemical Engineering Program. I am interested in synthetic biology and metabolic engineering for production of biofuels and biochemicals. Cyanobacteria are photosynthetic organisms that can be used as cellular factories for fuel production. My research topic focuses on using cyanobacteria to produce  limonene, which is a potential precursor of biofuels and has a lemon-like fragrance.
