I graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in 2020 with a B.S. in Biology, where I studied the twin arginine translocation system in Salmonella and its role in antibiotic resistance. I am broadly interested in bacteria and the amazing things they do outside of being pathogens. In the Pakrasi lab, I am using a variety of biochemical approaches to study the photosystem II complex in the cyanobacteria Synechocystis 6803, which will deepen our understanding of photosynthesis.
