At Washington University School of Medicine, Pediatric Neurocritical Care strives for excellence in patient care, research and education. Our clinical program at St. Louis Children’s Hospital is comprised of a multidisciplinary team who care for direct and indirect brain injuries along the entire longitudinal care continuum from initial presentation to rehabilitation and return home. Our Neurocritical Care Follow-up Program ensures patients and their families can transition from the overwhelming challenges of the intensive care unit back to school and their communities.

Our research endeavors have formed strong collaborations across Washington University and include pediatric stroke, neuroimaging, cardiac arrest, traumatic brain injury, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and quantitative electroencephalography (QEEG).

We aim to train the next generation of physician leaders in Pediatric Neurocritical Care with our clinical fellowship.
