Research Focus
The unifying theme of my research interests is multi-omic characterization of skull base tumors to identify mechanisms and markers of clinical behavior that can inform management of these tumors both inside and outside the operating room.
- I am investigating the molecular biology of multiply recurrent meningiomas and radiation resistant CNS WHO grade 2 meningiomas using whole exome, methylation and RNA sequencing, along with well validated cell line models of meningioma. My goal is to identify markers of treatment resistance and therapeutic targets to enhance our clinical management of recurrent meningiomas.
- I am characterizing the process of meningioma brain invasion using a multi-omic approach using a combination of single cell RNA sequencing, high resolution spatial transcriptomic analysis, and epigenetic analysis. My goal is to understand the molecular pathways involved in meningioma brain invasion with an eye towards facilitating identification of invasive meningiomas and developing novel therapeutic agents targeting these lesions.
- I am analyzing the epigenetic profile of pituitary neuroendocrine tumors (formerly pituitary adenoma) using bulk methylation array analysis. My goal is to use methylation profiling for early identification of locally invasive and distantly metastatic pituitary neuroendocrine tumors which can then be used to modify the post-operative surveillance and treatment of patients with pituitary adenomas.
