Orchestrating Diversity is a music service student group at Washington University that provides support for a program (with the same name) of the non-profit community organization, the Lemp Neighborhood Arts Center. Through this work we empower youth through performance of music. Through this program, we target inequality in access to advanced music education by providing music instruction to students who lack the resources. We believe that music is blind to gender, ethnicity, and socioeconomic status and strive to truly cultivate music into the universal language that it is.
There are three different courses in the program: Urban Youth Orchestra (UYO), Junior Urban Music Program (JUMP), and Keyboard Education for Young Students (KEYS). Please read about each of these programs for more information!!
