Before connecting to the Virtual Lab, you’ll need to connect to the Danforth Campus VPN. Washington University IT’s instructions for VPN on Mac devices can be found here

Download and install the latest version of Microsoft Remote Desktop 10 from the App Store if you don’t already have it.

Click here to go to the App Store.

  1. Setup folder redirection by clicking settings (⚙) and selecting Preferences
  • Click on the drop-down list and select Choose Folder
  • Select the local folder you would like to make available in your remote session(s)
  1. Click the plus sign (+) and select Remote Resources.
  • Enter the URL and click Find Feed.

You have three options at the User Account:

  1. Select Ask me every time to re-enter your credentials for each connection.
  2. Select an existing account if one is listed.
  3. Select Add User Account… to add a new account:
  • Enter your WUSTL Key username for User Name:
  • Enter your password for Password.
  • Enter a Friendly Name (optional).
  • Click Save.
  1. Click Apps to display the apps available to you from the Virtual Lab.
  2. Double-click the app you want to run.
  3. Note that launching an app on the Virtual Lab will prompt a Duo dual authentication prompt
