Meet Becky Brosch!

My name is Becky Brosch and I currently work as the Communications & Community Preparedness Engagement Program Manager for the Emergency Management department at WashU. Previously I worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator, doing thoracic cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center. I also have my Master’s in Public Health with concentrations in Global Health and Biosecurity & Disaster Preparedness from Saint Louis University. One of my favorite parts of my first graduate degree was getting to intern at the World Federation of Public Health Associations in Geneva, Switzerland, where I worked on evaluation plans and social media.

The highlight of my Olin experience has been co-founding and working on the dating app start-up Pool along with my co-founder Sarah Lands Ramrup. The idea started in a Marketing Management class and was further developed in the entrepreneurship classes The Hatchery and The League. Sarah and I have learned so much about pitching our concept, talking with investors, and building a business from the ground up. We’re looking forward to a few pitch competitions this fall before hopefully launching the app in early 2024.

In my spare time, I am a proud crazy cat lady with two cats, Bella and Sebastian. A lot of my time recently has been spent on wedding planning, as I will be getting married to my fiancé Charles in October. I also love bar trivia, finding new restaurants, and traveling. Since starting the MBA program, I’ve been to nine different countries and countless cities. I most recently spent a week and a half in Hawaii, thankfully missing the heatwaves in St. Louis! Next on my travel bucket list are Indonesia and Portugal.
