May 2nd through October 15th – The Annual Chihuly in the Garden 2023 event is back at the Missouri Botanical Garden. Take a walk through the work of world-renowned artist Dale Chihuly, in a stunning exhibition uniting art and nature. With thousands of pieces of blown glass forms in 20 dramatic installations throughout the Garden’s grounds, Chihuly in the Garden 2023 presents these artworks on a grand scale.

  • Shakespeare in the streets: Soccer in St Louis.

September 14th to the 16th in downtown St Louis, experience the free event, “Shakespeare in the Streets: The Game’s Afoot”. Stepping outside its traditional neighborhood, Shakespeare in the Streets, is setting to celebrate the uniting force of soccer in the St. Louis region and across the globe. Not only will you see a performance written by Ben Hochman, an award-winning St. Louis Post-Dispatch sports columnist, but following the Saturday show, stay for a CITY SC watch party.

  • The Great Forest Park Balloon Glow and Race.

September 15th and 16th at the Emerson Central Field in Forest Park is one of St. Louis’ most idyllic (FREE!) events, The Great Forest Park Balloon Glow and Race. The Glow is Friday, with food trucks, picnic areas, games, and a “glow” that is truly magical when the sun goes down. Saturday is Race Day and around 4:45 pm you can watch this unique race in the sky! Event organizers say it’s the world’s oldest and best-attended hot air balloon race – you might want to scope out the perfect viewing area for you and your family ahead of time.

  • Oktoberfest at Grants Farm.

Weekends September 8th-10th and 15th-17th, the Oktoberfest returns to Grant’s Farm, celebrating the attraction’s German heritage. Included with free general admission, the event will feature cold beer served in commemorative steins, alongside traditional German food, live German music, enthusiastic German dancing, and access to the farm’s animals.

This Fall, with thrills both on and off the rides, Fright Fest at Six Flags St. Louis is one of the spookiest events of the season. During the day, family-friendly attractions abound, but at night, all the creatures that go bump in the night haunt the park. Expect rides in the dark, haunted houses, and scare zones.

September 21st at 7 Pm on Art Hill in Forest Park the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra performs their annual concert in Forest Park. Experience the sounds of the Symphony Orchestra under the stars. Find a spot on Art Hill in Forest Park, sit back, and enjoy the music, from classical tunes to modern scores. The event also includes fare from local food trucks for purchase and a stunning fireworks show.
