Meet Lucy (Jialu) Lyu
Lucy (Jialu Lyu), a current MSF student at Olin, balances her academic journey with a deep love for building connections and creating new experiences. Over the summer, she interned in two fields—digital marketing and hedge fund research. This diverse experience has fueled her ongoing search for the career path, and she is currently engaged in high-density networking to discover where her true passions lie in the professional world.
When Lucy isn’t focused on her studies or venture-building, she’s busy bringing people together—whether it’s inviting friends over for holiday dinners where everyone brings a dish to share or organizing fun, group hiking trips that explore the outdoors and foster deeper friendships. For Lucy, these gatherings aren’t just about food and exercise—they’re moments of connection, storytelling, and joy.
Additionally, she enjoys a variety of hobbies, including photography, singing, golf, pool and badminton. One of her favorite campus activities is ECLL, a bi-weekly event where students gather over lunch to chat in English and exchange stories. Lucy fondly recalls the post-spring break session, filled with amusing and dramatic stories that left everyone laughing and bonding. “That one was especially memorable,” she says with a smile. “It’s incredible how these simple lunch meetings turn into a space for sharing not just language, but experiences.”
Lucy’s passion for community-building extends beyond campus life. She’s deeply engaged in the entrepreneurial scene, attending events like Venture Café and spending summer researching cross-border e-commerce opportunities, where she explores new ideas and meets like-minded individuals passionate about startups. Her future goals are closely tied to creating her own venture and making an impact in the world of business.

Meet Vito Wu
Hi, I’m Vito Wu, currently studying Business Analytics with a focus on Customer Analytics. Outside of academics, I enjoy playing soccer and singing. I’ve been fortunate to win two championships in the WashU Rec Soccer Games. The ECLL community is amazing, filled with helpful and friendly classmates, and I appreciate the relaxed and engaging atmosphere. Looking ahead, I hope ECLL can host more frequent events and welcome more interesting members. I’m always happy to share more information about ECLL and look forward to connecting with others!
Meet Yinuo Yang
Hello! I am Yinuo Yang, a second-year student enrolled in the WAM program.
I grew up in Taian, China. I serve as a Student Ambassador at Olin Business School and as a Career Peer at the WashU Center for Career Engagement.
Outside of work and study, I enjoy social activities and spending time with friends. I love traveling and going on adventures. Last summer, I visited Yellowstone National Park with my friends, and we were lucky enough to spot wolves, black bears, brown bears, and moose! My friends and I went to Texas this fall break, enjoying the food and live music there.
I’m a big fan of films, especially action movies, and my favorite is Mission Impossible. I’m also a culinary enthusiast who loves cooking and savoring meals with family and friends.
