Meet Matthew Schmal
I’ve made some of my best friends through the football team at WashU and am blessed to be able to play the game of football with them every day at an amazing university. I have loved having a great group of guys who decided to come back for a 5th year. It’s nice seeing all these guys in the classroom, out on the field, and being so close we still want to hang out or get together outside of that too. The thing that I appreciate the most though is all of us knew we had more to give to the game and It’s been great to watch that happen week in and week out this year.
Fun facts: rush and I are rooming together.
I actually helped coach during the spring last year.

Meet Chris Vartanian
I grew up in Newport Beach, California, with three younger siblings, and recently adopted two dogs. I am a graduate student at the Olin Business School and will graduate with a BSBA in Finance and an MBA in May of 2024. I have been a kicker on the WashU football team since 2019. In my free time, I like to cook, work out, take pictures of my dogs, and hang out with friends.
