Sean Sullins

LashKar Gah, Afghanistan 2016

Hi, I’m Sean from PMBA Class 54. I grew up in Ballwin, MO, and moved back in the summer of 2023. I graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in history and was commissioned into the U.S. Army as an Infantry Officer. Over the years, I had the privilege of graduating from Ranger, Airborne, and Air Assault schools, serving with the 10th Mountain Division (Fort Drum, NY), the 101st Airborne Division (Fort Campbell, KY), and instructing at the Infantry School (Fort Moore, GA). During my service, I deployed to Afghanistan for nine months and helped with stateside refugee operations after the 2021 withdrawal.

Charlie (Gunfighter) Company, 1st Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment. The Infantry Company I commanded in the 101st Airborne Division.

Today, I’m in the Army Reserve as a Career Management Officer and work as the Chief of Staff for Optum Financial Technology. I’ve been married to my wife, Kelsey, for nine years, and we have two daughters, Cora (6) and Reagan (3). In my free time, I enjoy playing foosball with my wife, mountain biking, and staying active in sports.

St. Louis has always been home for me, and I’ve always loved this city. But when I was transitioning out of the military, I often heard, “Why would you want to live there?” I came to Olin to connect with leaders and community members who share my passion for St. Louis and want to help change that perception.
