Aaron Zhang
Hola! I’m Aaron Zhang, a second-year WAMer at Olin Business School. Originally from Wuxi, China, I pursued my bachelor’s degree at Bentley University in Boston. After graduating, I embarked a gap year to diversify my professional experience, working across three different industries in China.
Beyond academics, I have a passion for fencing (sabre) and piano, which I’ve been playing for years. Also, I am a huge fan of Texas Holdem. A fun fact about me is that I once founded a company on Texas Holdem and made my tuition and living expenses through it.
Being an international student, I was drawn to one of Olin’s core values: diversity, allowing me to make friends from various backgrounds and learn from their perspectives. During my time at WashU, I’ve had valuable experiences, including serving as a teaching assistant for Professor Solberg’s Financial Market course in Washington DC, and currently assisting with the Wells Fargo Competition at CFAR. Additionally, I worked as a program assistant over the summer, helping new students in the Global Master of Finance track. Olin provides numerous opportunities, so keep an eye on your emails for updates. I’m also an active member of the WAM club, which regularly shares exciting opportunities you wouldn’t want to miss!
As this is my last semester at WashU, I’ll be graduating in December. My time in St. Louis has been a transformative journey filled with cherished memories and significant growth of both hard and soft skills. I’d like to express my gratitude to everyone who has supported me throughout my journey here – without your help, I wouldn’t have made it. Thank you!
