Chihuly in the Garden 2023. Recurring Event Missouri Botanical Garden 9 AM-5 PM. The work of world-renowned artist Dale Chihuly is coming to the Missouri Botanical Garden in a stunning exhibition uniting art and nature. With thousands of pieces of blown glass forms in 20 dramatic installations throughout the Garden’s grounds, Chihuly in the Garden 2023 presents these artworks on a grand scale.

Monet/Mitchell: Painting the French Landscape. St Louis Art Museum 10 AM-5 PM. Offering a fresh view of two of the most experimental painters of the 20th century, Monet/Mitchell: Painting the French Landscape is the first exhibition in the U.S. to examine the complex dialogue between the work of French impressionist Claude Monet and American abstract expressionist Joan Mitchell.

Twilight Thursdays Concert series – Thursday Nights at the Museum recurring Event Missouri History Museum – Free. 

Kick off your weekend at the Missouri History Museum in Forest Park! Each Thursday Night at the Museum will be the most fun, engaging, uplifting, thought-provoking, perspective-shaping night of your week. And there are drinks. Join us at 5:30 pm for pop-up activities like brief tours, games, and performances. The main stage comes to life at 6:30 pm, light appetizers and drinks are available until 7:00 pm, and the Museum’s exhibits and shop are open until 8:00 pm for you to explore!

Maifest – Grant’s farm 5PM- 10 PM. In May, Grant’s Farm will host Maifest. The celebration will feature dance performances, German cuisine, and Anheuser-Busch products for guests aged 21 and older.

Laumeier Annual Art Fair– Sculpture Park 6 PM-10 PM – Held over Mother’s Day weekend, the Laumeier Annual Art Fair is a three-day, outdoor event, where you can shop for one-of-a-kind artwork, savor tasty food and drinks, enjoy live music and entertainment and get creative with hands-on activities.

The art fair draws more than 17,000 patrons every year, and it showcases 150 juried artists from across the country, who exhibit work in 10 media categories: ceramics, fiber/textiles, glass, jewelry, 2D mixed media, painting, photography/digital, printmaking/drawing, sculpture, and wood. Laumeier Sculpture Park is one of the U.S.’s first and largest dedicated sculpture parks – and the perfect setting for this exciting event.
