SMP Knight Scholars, Spring 2024 Meet the dynamic Four! Juhua LiMy next step: I have started as a data analytics intern at the United Nations, New York HeadquarterMy fun fact: My most endorsed skill on LinkedIn is not finance but cooking 🙂 Yizhi WangMy time at Olin has been incredible, and the practical courses have been invaluable for my future career. At WashU, my favorite place is the Recreation Center. I love the Zumba and Pound classes—they provide a great escape from the busy demands of studying and work. My most important takeaway this year has been learning to appreciate solitude and become more self-reliant. Friends are essential, but your well-being should always come first. Another lesson I’ve learned at Olin is to pursue what truly matters to me without worrying about others’ opinions. I’ve taken a part-time job at a café making coffee, which isn’t related to my goal of becoming a “Finance Elite,” but I enjoy it. Meanwhile, I’m still searching for positions in equity research within the secondary market. Elena XuI want to do something I love: I love concentrating—it’s my way of traveling into the future, where I realize it’s already tomorrow, and I’m still in the zone. A brief statement on your next steps: “My next step? To walk gracefully into the world of possibility, preferably without tripping.” A funny fact about you: I love dancing in the rain. Shaida XiangI love traveling and enjoying good food. And it is me having ice cream during my trip to Miami.Next steps: I plan to keep moving forward in sustainable finance at the United Nations. You might find me next month in New York City or Geneva. The future’s uncertain, but one of the biggest takeaways from my time at Olin is to embrace that uncertainty and tackle challenges head-on.Funny fact: One of my favorite activities is grocery shopping. I can spend hours in local supermarkets, even if I don’t need anything—a real supermarket tourist!
