Rooted in St. Louis
I grew up in St. Louis just a few blocks from WashU. After high school I moved to Los Angeles to study mechanical engineering at the University of Southern California, and even though I lived in LA for the last 11 years, it never felt like home the way St. Louis always has. Now I’m back pursuing my full-time MBA at Olin, and I’m having a blast rediscovering my hometown.
Early Career and Looking Ahead
Out of college I got a job as an engineer in the aerospace industry. After spending a few years rotating through various engineering roles, I was promoted to the position of strategy and operations analyst. In my career I’ve learned a lot about manufacturing and operations excellence and the value an engineering mindset can bring to business strategy. After I receive my MBA, I would like to use my skills in operational efficiency and strategy to improve manufacturing here in St. Louis and across the Rust Belt.
Life Outside
My fiancée and I are avid travelers and hikers. Together we’ve been to over 25 National Parks, including all 9 in California and 7 on our road trip moving from LA back to St. Louis. We also spent 7 weeks in Europe this summer, visiting 11 countries and hiking in the Swiss Alps, Italian Dolomites, and Norwegian fjords.
I also have a great appreciation for art, architecture, film, and music. I love visiting new museums and historic buildings, particularly churches. My love for the arts and the outdoors has led me to re-launch the Olin Outdoors and Arts & Leisure clubs with my friend and fellow first-year MBA Matthew Rush.

I grew up in St. Louis and went to high school at Westminster. After graduating, I left to attend college in Memphis and then serve in the Army in New York state. When I made the decision to leave the military, I knew I wanted to come home and settle down in St. Louis. I’m currently in my first year at Olin’s full-time MBA program and will be interning at JPMorgan this summer.
I have a deep love of music and the arts and have played guitar since high school. I particularly enjoy jazz and rock, collecting vinyl records and vintage audio equipment. Travel has also been a major part of my personal life, and I’ve visited 19 countries around the world. One of my most memorable adventures was to Svalbard, where I went dog-sledding across the Arctic landscape through the darkness of the polar night. I’m also an avid shooter and have built up a collection of vintage military rifles from the World Wars over the past several years.
