Jon Lee
  • Jon is on course for the rare WashU trifecta of MFA in Creative Writing, PMBA, and staff role. He currently serves as the Interim Director of Treasury Planning and Operations, focusing on the University’s treasury functions and financing needs in both the day-to-day operations and long-term strategic planning. Before WashU, Jon led a derivatives trading desk at IMC in Chicago and wrote fiction in Brooklyn. He lives in the Grove neighborhood with his wife, Marcela, and two sons (5 and 7). Jon and Marcela perpetually entertain the idea of getting a puppy, but they quickly come to their senses. In his imaginary spare time, Jon wonders what it’d be like to experience actual spare time.

    • Worked two months as a chef-slash-potato-peeler at a Michelin-star Italian restaurant; still has a soft spot for handmade pasta and a cold Peroni.
